Course Overview
Automatic Identification Technologies (AIDC) which covers Bar Code, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) and Biometrics have been merged into all industries in order to increase productivity through accuracy in data collection. From Health Care, Merchandising, Logistics, Manufacturing, Aerospace and Government these technologies have been used for a number of years. This course will cover all aspects of these technologies and how they are used in these industries. The latest technology improvements, latest standards and mandatory requirements such as the DoD's UID (Unique Identification) and FDA's UDI (Unique Device Identification) will be covered in detail. Equipment video labs, system design workshops and self focused exercises are scatted throughout the course to enhance learning. The AIDC course is broken down into three seperate segments:
Segment 101Concentrates on Bar Code Technologies, U.S. Department of Defense ("DoD") requirement for UID Unique Identification and the FDA uocoming requirement for UDI Unique Device Identification
Segment 201 RFID understanding and how it is used throughout industry to increase productivity.
Segment 301Combines both Bar Code and RFID in system design applications.
